I am a slave of hope, I choose to hope and dwell in that place. I would have chosen otherwise, but I’d rather expect good tidings from God than believe in a loser like the devil.
When Jesus was taken for crucification, he would have chosen not to die, but He choose a greater hope for me and you. You and me are both called to hope in God, even if it does not make sense.
You see, hope is expecting from God, while faith is believing. So am hoping in God because I believe in him. Am hoping for all the best in life, and with that hope eternity is guaranteed.
I am in chains of Hope and I like it. One day in God’ s presence is better than a thousand elsewhere.
Am anchored in hope, discover more hope by deliberately reading psalms. David was sometimes overwhelmed but He hoped in the Lord.
The tax collectors needed Jesus, similarly to the Sinners in the time when Jesus ministered on earth. The pharisees were confident in the law and saw themselves as made righteous by law. Jesus was not for them (Pharisees), he came for those who needed Him.
When we need Jesus, he comes down and makes things right. The moment we stop needing Him, is the moment we lose joy, peace, love and every light he shines on us. He wants us to need him, to crave for his love and want him more than anything.
He came for the lost, he did not come for those who would cling to their own righteousness. Oh, it is interesting that we might think we don’t need him, but on the contrary we all need him.
We need him to set us free, to heal us and to receive true joy. I choose to need him every hour, every minute and every moment. What’s your choice?
Need him and receive what he offers, call unto him and he will part your darkness and bring true light. I need Jesus, do you?
“IT IS FINISHED” He said boldly, with pain but with pure satisfaction. Jesus finished it all on the cross. So why the struggle? I ask always. Am not being held back by my pain, with pain but with pure satisfaction I say “It Is Finished.”
I am done with my fear, am done with pain and with all it takes I run boldly to my savior. He is calling me, He is saying “QUICK, COME TO ME”, I break out of my sin and I say loudly with faith as I run to Him, “Here I come my friend.”
Sweet Jesus, here I come, I have heard you have been calling for me. Am all yours, make me, mend me and heal my broken past. I look back no more, I stand to be counted, I let go the negative vibes and I now choose to live in his arms forever.
It is finished, at the cross it is done. What more is left of me, but to receive His forgiveness and an everlasting life. My God is not dead, He is surely alive and now I am alive because He is.
I don’t know how many times we’ve all made heaven happy, but heaven needs to be happy, you probably ask why and how. I have been pondering about this for the longest time now, and so I thought maybe helping out a christian out here is equally important.
When heaven looks down on us, how we live, what we do or what we’ve become, would heaven be happy and rejoice? or will it shrink back and frown? I don’t know for you, but my ultimate goal is to make Heaven happy. With what I do or I don’t should make Heaven smile down on me.
When I trip and fall, when I commit a sin or when I don’t, would I still approach His (God) throne boldly?
I am at loss and you are too, when it doesn’t work, when it’s all brokeness and tears, when we reach out to sin so as to sooth our pain. Would you still make heaven happy with a broken heart, with a sin that easily entangels us?
Am looking for an escape route, but the only way out is to make Heaven happy. The only way is to strive to call unto Jesus, to walk blameless and to offer a sacrifice of a broken spirit. Well, you too can Make Heaven Happy.
In the gospel of John, in the account of Jesus’s resurrection, one woman Mary Magdalene went to the tomb, the place where Jesus’s body was put. Jesus appeared to her there but she did not recognize him at first, she though Jesus was a gardener.
Yes Jesus is the gardener, he tends to us, waters the seed of salvation and through him we grow and mature in the way of the Lord. When we get saved, people get to doubt if we will sustain this salvation. Good news is that you do not need to panic, call to Jesus and let him water your seed of salvation.
Jesus, an amazing gardener intercedes to us to the father, he asks God to give him time to tend to us. He lets God have mercy on us because we are weak and he promises to water us, to grow us and finally produce fruits of righteousness.
Lets all enjoy this beautiful love from our messiah. He waters the seed and we are confident he will come through for us in our sin and our humanly struggles. I love Jesus, do you?
Ooh my messiah, the first born from the dead, my friend, all in all an awesome person, I will indeed praise your beautiful name.
Ezekiel in the bible was given a test by God, his wife was to die and he was not to mourn. It was his test to the children of Israel because God was to take away their most beloved things, their sons and daughters, the desire of their heart because of turning against the Lord.
That was his test, his wife died and he did not mourn, he passed his test. What’s your test? Everyone goes through a test because God wants to use it for his glory to show the world of his awesome deeds.
We especially go through a test if God is going to use us greatly, if we pass the test we become God’s children who have gone through the fire and have been purified.
The year for me started on a rocky note, full of tests and feeling downcast. Through it all I choose to put my hope in God, the storm is now over and God has purified me more and am more stronger and peaceful.
What’s your test? Conquer what you are going through by having hope in him. I remember in those tests I went through, I cried and lacked the greatest faith but I put the little faith I had in God and phew! the pain is gone and am more joyful.
What’s your test? Look to God and win this test you are going through.
Reflecting His glory back to him is extremely important. Living lives as Christians and serving God can be a hard task. Jesus glorified God more than himself, at one point in His teachings one man called him “Good”, and he said there is no one good but the father.
Jesus was the son of God, but he took it away from him, he took the glory away from him and He reflected it back to the Father.
Lets all learn from this, that the more we take the focus from us and direct it to God, we go from glory to glory and we become more prosperous in our walk of salvation. The devil wanted God’s glory but look what happened, he was sent down to the deep, dark pit as fast as lightening.
When we serve and let God take all the glory, then we become more joyful and we share in His glory. When we give God glory then He in turn reflect it on us, and we become more like him and we walk with a spark in our eyes.
All the Glory to God and take none for yourself.
The desires of your heart are what God puts in us when we need him after knowing of His love. He says delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart, lets wrap our heads around this and lets know for sure He will do it.
Our desires could be of righteousness, a good life or just an amazing person you want to be. Your desires are given to you by God. Desiring his things is just the first step to realizing his love. God knows our desires and he promises us to fulfill all of them.
Lets need God and slowly receive his amazing desires as he pours them in our hearts. Lets be radiant as we look to him, lets glow with his glory because we have put our hopes in him.
Looking through life with the lense of God’s love and him pouring his desires on us is such a great gift. Your desires are not your’s , there are a promise of God’s love to us. Let Go your worries and tell God you need him and receive an amazing transformation.
With his abundance, lets desire of him and like happy souls lets live for him knowing that He will take care of us anyway.
We all love people who are consistent. Consistent in terms of their love for us or being good to us, people are always changing, today they love you and the next day they show you their bad side.
He however never changes. God never changes, his love is consistent and he always wants to do good for us. When you are bogged down and thinking how people changed from good to bad, you can look up and see a savior who never changes.
So you think people can be consistent? And you have trusted them? Poor you, they will always change because every human being is work in progress. If you changed and I changed too, what makes the person next to you remain the same.
People change from good to bad, from bad to good, but good news is that God remains ever good and his mercies are new every morning.
When situations change and you are discouraged, you can now rest knowing my God is always good and He works everything for good.
Live with an open mind, knowing things will change but also know God never changes.
He indeed never changes!
Think about people who go through traumatizing cancer experiences. I have seen my grandmother going through the pain of throat cancer; it was devastating for her and for the family too.
Cancer seems like a disease for certain people, and those who have not gone through the pain may be mistaken to think it does not affect them. Cancer affects the majority of us and that’s why jeremiahblogs.co.ke is giving a chance to people to share their story on cancer.
In this hopelessness that hits the cancer patient and the family, I believe there is a story of victory. When my grandmother was diagnosed with throat cancer much later after it has taken root, it was impossible for her to cure and she later rested with the Lord.
I remember the eve before her death praying that God might not take her, but I believe God let her go so that I might talk about this cancer one day. God was then doing a beautiful thing through a painful experience.
We need your cancer story, we need a story that can encourage another cancer patient to find hope. Have you gone through a painful cancer experience and you overcame? Or do you have stories of people who are completely healed from cancer thanks to the power of God? Kindly share your story and we will share it with hurting cancer patients.
If you are going through cancer right now, write to us and we will pray with you and encourage you.
